JOB SCOPE OF OUR VOLLEYBALL COACH

Minimum Criteria

  1. FIVB or SG-Coach Level I (Technical) or equivalent
  2. SG-Coach Level I (Theory) or equivalent
  3. First Aid & AED Certified
  4. Certified National Registry of Coaches (NROC)
  5. Basic Sports Science (BSS) Certified
  6. Values & Principle in Sports (VPS) Certified
 
Essential Duties
  1. Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages potential athletes to participate in the sport.
  2. Assesses player’s skills and assigns team positions.
    Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
  3. Works with the teacher in charge in scheduling facilities for practices and competition.
  4. Assigns duties to an assistant coach and/or interns as necessary.
  5. Coaches and instructs players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
  6. Observes players, during competition and practice to determine the needs for individual or team improvement.
  7. Determines game strategy based on the team’s capabilities.
  8. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides proper supervision of athletes at all times.
  9. Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met; and encourages student athletes to maintain a high academic standard.
  10. Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
  11. Conferences with teacher in charge, regarding the athletic performance of their student.
    Follows school regulations governing the athletic program.
  12. Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
  13. Acts as a team representative and promotes the sport by communicating with the news media, clubs, and other organizations.
  14. Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
  15. Works with the teacher in charge to develop a policy for awards and submits a list of award winners at the end of the season.
  16. Participates in special activities as requested by the school such as Award Ceremony etc.
    Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

JOB SCOPE OF OUR VOLLEYBALL Trainer

Essential Duties
  1. Requirement: Min 16 year old
  2. Able to assist Head Coach in executing training and exercise.
  3. Upon successful enrollment to our trainer program. Individual will have to undergoing several certifications program
    1. First Aid & AED
    2. Values & Principle in Sports (VPS)
    3. National Registry of Coaches (NROC)

 

Roles & Responsibility of Volleyball Trainer

  1. Organize and manage an effective school volleyball program in association with Head Coach.
  2. Assist Head Coach to train volleyball team by providing technical, non-technical and administrative support.
  3. Participate in all internal and external volleyball games and provide support and efficient feedback to team.
  4. Participate in all coach meetings at various levels and organizations to keep track of latest information and techniques regarding games.
  5. Recruit and coach student athletes regularly and ensure that all student athletes take part in practice sessions regularly.
  6. Monitor academic progress of student athletes and facilitate participation in summer camp according to institute’s rules and regulations.
  7. Monitor academic performance and general behaviour of student athletes to ensure students perform their studies along with active involvement in volleyball games.
  8. Organize, conduct, and evaluate individual and team practices, training sessions and various competitions on regular basis to ensure team’s progress.
  9. Train student-athletes in fundamental volleyball mechanics and techniques and review performance of individual players for providing feedback.
  10. Assist and provide guidance to all volleyball players on court and ensure players receive adequate professional support.
  11. Assist Head Coach to maintain equipment inventory for volleyball.
  12. Provide guidance and counselling to student-athletes on athletic, academic and personal issues as required.
  13. Develop and implement strategies to develop effective student athletes’ physical fitness.
  14. Administer team and facilitate spirit of sportsmanship, social development, and positive relationship in student athletes.
  15. Prepare and circulate press release to media as part of media and communication strategy.
