OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
JRT Sport Services was founded by Mr Jerry Teo in 2006.
Started with the passion of coaching young children and youths through Volleyball, he firmly believes that modern concepts of volleyball techniques and character-building will bring out the best in a student athlete’s sporting development.
TRANSITION TO BECOMING JRT VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY PRIVATE LIMITED
JRT Volleyball Academy Private Limited came about with the progressive growth of its experienced and passionate coaching team of instructors.
We strive in sporting excellence and our formulated training framework has proven to support athletes’ volleyball aspirations effectively through a progressive pathway.
Our instructors are professionally certified by Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and/or SG-Coach Accreditation. We take pride and hold high standards in the delivery of our training programs for all ages with quality and inclusion in mind.
JRT Academy aims to raise the levels of play in the game of Volleyball by offering the following programs:
1. Learn to Play
2. Elementary
3. Advance
In line with the government’s directive of staying active, JRT Academy caters learning opportunities for:
1. Individuals
2. Company/ Corporations
3. Co-Curicular Activities (CCAs) outside school curriculum
OUR CURRENT MISSION
To provide greater playing opportunities and a professional pathway beyond the local scene, JRT Academy aims to work with Professional Volleyball Clubs to be part of their satellite feeder program.
JRT Academy Out-Reach programs seeks to create greater exposure and new learning experiences for our athletes and coaches. The various exchange programs, conducted both locally and internationally include:
- Overseas exchange programs
- Volleyball boot camps
- Coaching Clinics by International/Foreign Coaches
JRT Academy is actively engaged in various coaching contracts with Government and International Schools. It also runs a Private Volleyball Academy, offering weekly lessons on a 12-weeks per term basis to beginners, intermediate and advanced players for age groups 16 and under.
OUR ONGOING MISSION AND GOALS
There are plans to extend the scope of Volleyball to reach out to a wider community. Such include Volleyball programs to promote our nation’s notion on active aging, inclusiveness living and lifestyle for the Silver Generation & Individuals with disabilities. We hope to make Volleyball a sport for all.
CONTINUOUS COACHING DEVELOPMENT
Continuous coaching development is paramount to the progress of our Volleyball Academy. JRT Academy strives to offer an array of workshops/seminars to enhance our educators’/coaches’ competencies in the area of coaching Volleyball.
OUR VENUE PARTNER
We are proud to be the first volleyball academy in Singapore to have our own training facility located at Upper Thomson Community Hub (600 Upper Thomson Road #01-153). We thank Ministry of Social & Family Development and National Park Board as our collaboration venue partners for this opportunity and reaching out more venues to reach out to young athletes who like to improve on their volleyball skills & personal development.
